How sad that there are no Nevada cities on this list. I guess that makes sense - Las Vegas is too ritzy-snobby; Reno is crowded and falling apart; Elko is nice; Tahoe is too expensive. What about Carson City? That is a nice place to live, my mom lives there...
Portland, despite the green colour of the Willamette river (it was green twenty years ago, anyway).
